Winning Favourites Review – Can This Tipster Regain Form?
Quick Summary
Introduction
Half of the battle with becoming a long-term profitable bettor is mindset.
The ability to stick with a system or tipster through losing runs, especially with bigger-priced selections, is something that trips up even the most disciplined punters.
That’s why I’m particularly interested in Winning Favourites, a tipping service that focuses on value at the shorter end of the Betfair Exchange markets.
It’s an approach often seen as unprofitable, mainly because many recreational punters tend to chase favourites. But the fact is, if a horse has a better chance of winning than the odds suggest, it’s a value bet, even at the top of the market.
Rob Reed, the tipster behind the service proofed his selections live to On Course Profits members over a period of three months. The sales page reports a 41% strike rate, with a longest losing run of five and an ROI of 13% for the trial.
I was able to find a more detailed set of historical results going back to 2024, which I will dig into a bit more to see how the service has performed over the longer term.

Putting It to the Test
There’s no doubt that Winning Favourites delivers on the promise of a high strike rate, with nearly 38% over more than 800 bets.
Although the service has made a profit overall, it’s important to point out that the returns have been modest with just 31.24 points since it began and an ROI of 3.75%.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing either.
There have been periods of drawdown and given the volume of bets, the profit to date isn’t especially exciting. In fact, anyone joining at the wrong time could have found themselves in the red for a while before seeing a turnaround.
I’ll give the service a go and see if they can regain form.

Winning Favourites Review Results
Results Update #1
My review of Winning Favourites got off to a challenging start, with a loss of £135.40 at Betfair SP from a £1,000 starting bank and £20 stakes.
That’s a 13.5% drop in the first month, which is never ideal, but not unexpected during a rough patch with any betting system.
I’ve also been tracking the performance at bookmaker odds, and as you can see, the results were slightly worse, showing a loss of £215 over the same period.
Here are my full results for the first month:
I’ll continue monitoring both BSP and bookmaker odds to see if the service can recover from this early setback.
Results Update #2
Sadly, there’s been no sign of recovery after the rocky first month of my Winning Favourites review. In fact, things have gone further downhill, with a further loss of 9.82 points at Betfair SP, or £196.40 to £20 stakes.
The only positive so far is that results to Betfair Exchange prices have been better than those from bookmakers.
Here are my full results for the second trial month:
I’ll keep tracking the service to see if it can turn things around, but it’s not going to be an easy task for the tipster now.
